4. What is the procedure for having mail/packages delivered after Aug 1? Does someone have to be there to receive them, or is there a way mail/packages can be left if no one is there?
You should contact the USPS to confirm, but according to our current tenants the USPS delivers to your suite, but you will have to be present to receive mail. According to my drawings the main church space nearest the front door is Suite 130; I don’t know if the space has a sign to that effect in place.
5. Can the vending machines be relocated to the corridor by the men’s restroom?
I’ve asked our Director of Purchasing about moving the vending machines (item 5 on the list) as he manages those contracts; I’ll get that info to you as soon as I hear from him.
6. Can the folding chairs owned by Wheaton College be removed from the sanctuary as soon as possible? We don’t need to use them.
I’ve asked our custodial crew to remove the folding chairs from the worship space (item 6.)
I will update this post as I get more back from Tony.
UPDATE AUG 6: Here is the latest email from Tony:
I want to give you an update on our project:
1. I met with Risk Management today (asbestos and fire safety) and they believe they can assess the items you raised, and address as needed, completing the work by August 24. Our plan is to replace all broken floor tiles and then seal your entire tiled area in all rooms with several coats of wax. We will also install any emergency lights etc that are required by fire safety code.
2. I also met with Facility Management (doors and electrical) and they too believe they can complete required items by August 24.
3. I have ordered a thorough carpet cleaning of all of your areas by ServiceMaster; I will let you know when that is complete.
4. The chairs have been removed from the worship space, according to our Work Order Center.
5. Attached please find a chart showing the cleaning/trash services provided by ServiceMaster and the days each item is completed.
1825 College Ave_ServiceMaster Schedule.pdf (160.66 KB) They also noted the following in an email message to me:
The restrooms are currently cleaned on M-W-F.
We do not recycle currently at 1825 College Avenue. Trash is removed according to the task schedule.
If the Church needs for us to modify the routine to accommodate their schedule we can do that.
Let me know if you have further questions.
6. I’m still waiting to hear from our Purchasing Director about relocating the vending machines; he’s usually very responsive so he may be on vacation; I’ll let you know as soon as he responds.
7. I’ve also attached a drawing of your spaces, with each room numbered 1-11; this will help us all to ensure we’re talking about the same rooms as we work through this project.
Thanks!
Tony
