I think it would be great if we could get some of those restaurant style wooden stacking high chairs for when we have potlucks etc.

I like that, Hillary. I'm adding your ideas to my post on the "stuff we need to get" thread

Re standing signs: I would steer clear of them whenever possible. Unless standing signs are super tall, they disappear when people are around, and the tall ones are expensive. They also make us seem more "temporary" than we probably are. We should ask to work with the college's supplier on fixed wall signs inside and out. They probably get a good price.
Outside signs: Can we get permission to put up a permanent banner frame out by the road for seasonal, sermon-series and special event banners? We locals traverse College Ave between Wheaton and Glen Ellyn a lot, so banners will get great visibility. We might even be able to position the frame so that it can be seen from the train (train commuters need Jesus, too, and they tend to have more disposable income, which will help us to pay for more banners ;-)
Handicap accessibility: There needs to be a permanent wall sign outside the non-accessible bathroom with directions to the accessible bathroom.
Hospitality tables: In another thread, Corissa posted about what tables we need. I see some four-tops in most of the drawings, and I'm glad because those work best for intimate conversation. But I have concerns about traffic flow. Please don't crowd the tables like they do in restaurants. People need to be able to pass freely between the tables when people are seated in them. The best cafe areas I've seen in churches leave extra space to encourage flow. During the busiest times, people won't be parking, four people at a time, at these tables. There will be a constant flow around them. Also, spreading out a few high cafe tables without chairs around them would be especially nice for mingling. I like the idea of having a "standing" mingling area.
