I'm working on blog posts about creative ways to collect cash for the move. I hope to get lots of people interacting with these, posting their own ideas, etc. Here are my example ideas: - Sell stuff on ebay, etc. (Lori Ellis is getting me lots of information on this)
- Have a "make" sale (Like a bake sale, but sell whatever you are good at making, like rubber-band jewelry or hand-stamped note cards, etc.)
- Sell your services (Moonlight for Jesus doing or teaching whatever you are good at: updating computers, organizing garages, party planning, paper making, etc.)
- Send fundraising letters to people who really care about your life (Dave and I have both done this for fundraising campaigns. Think about how often you get requests like this from friends who are doing a marathon or walk for charity. It's the same idea. Think about a few-- or a lot of-- people who would be interested in what role our church has played in your life and might give $5 or $10 or even more to help us out. I can't speak for Dave, but I've never lost a friend by asking for money, and we will provide all the tools you need to do it sensitively and well.)
Any other ideas? I'd love to be able to quote people so that we get lots of voices represented.

We just created a fund account that can be shared on facebook, email etc.. Feel free to change the image if you have a better one..the main image cannot be resized..it would be better to have a real photo. It is called Dupage Vineyard Increasing Impact Fund.
