Bulletin distribution: I would recommend a lectern or small standing desk inside the worship space to hide the piles of bulletins, pens, etc. Maybe this is what Lauren means by a "Welcome Desk" Can we start a discussion of when to give people the bulletin? Personally, I would rather get mine after I get my refreshments.
Brochures/Information: Somewhere in the hospitality area inside the sanctuary with easy access, but not near a door, let's hang a nice small (maybe up to 12 spaces) wooden brochure rack. I would advise against bulletin boards. They tend to get dirty and messy and some people take the liberty of posting unauthorized items. Posters can be affixed to the walls where necessary, more cheaply and more creatively, with poster putty.
