There is no place in the new building for the Middle School class to meet.
At our current size--with no growth in Elementary or Middle School classes--it *may* be possible for the Middle School to meet in one of the smaller classes within the Elementary Room. This depends on how the Elementary needs to use their space. If the Elementary class does need the smaller rooms, the Middle School will not have space.
If this is not an issue now (because the Elementary decides not to use the smaller classrooms), the path to being pushed out of the rooms would either be the Elementary class growing to need that space or the Middle School class out-growing the space. It is hard to say at exactly what size this would happen, but my estimate is either the elementary almost doubling (from 16 kids to between 25 & 30), or the Middle School class gaining 3 to 5 new attenders.
My vision had been that the Middle School class would use the Office/Conference room. However, Nathan expressed concern that the class would be too loud located so close to the main service. And, more recently, it has been suggested that the Office/Conference room be used a Nursing Mother's area, which would preclude its use for the Middle School.
So, what is the suggestion for the Middle School? Are they just out of luck? Do we plan for them to use the lobby if the elementary class can't spare the space? Do we tell the Elementary, "Too bad, you have to make room for the Middle School, even if it means sacrificing the programming you prefer to use?"
