Do you know what other types those would be, the not-ceramic tile and not-carpet. Some other tile that would work in the hospitality area?

Flooring Connection! Attn: Flooring Decision Makers (Who are...?) My dear friend, Nancy Yonan, who attends First Baptist in Wheaton but has visited VCD a few times, is a part-owner of Yonan Carpet One, the oldest floor covering store in Chicagoland. Their clients include The Tribune, the U of C, the Cubs (they floored the new locker room), the Wheaton Public Library, and the Wade Center at Wheaton College. Nancy, who volunteers a lot with PADS and veterans groups and such, loves our church. She and her adult daughter, Suzy, have helped with the Grocery Giveaway a couple of times. Nancy is going to connect us up with her brother-in-law David Yonan. I expect him to call me about the project this weekend. He is opening a new store and traveling a lot this week, but they can get someone to come to the space with samples and get us a firm quote. When we were chatting today, Nancy said, "Your church is very generous given how many people you have," so I think she is inclined to help us get a good price and good service. Mark used them to carpet the workroom at his office and was pleased with the result. The Yonans are Christian Assyrians, like Mark. Who is the contact person/s who need/s to see the samples and discuss options? Nathan? Anita? Steve? Dave? Corissa? Leslie? Who else? I would love to be a part of the team, but I probably won't be up and about until the second or third week of August. I'm happy to help people connect from the nifty workspace I have created in my bed, but the pain medicine might negatively influence my efficacy. (If I had more creative control over my avatar here, she would have an ice pack on her head and a thermometer in her mouth ;-) Please pray! Here's the website for Yonan Carpet One, so you can see what a great operation they run: www.yonancarpetone.com/commercial-services/

Elizabeth, that is great! Thanks for the connection. I don't know who is handling the carpet.

Nathan said Steve has been working on carpet. I sent him a message with all the pertinent info.

What I had said is that Steve already discussed carpet with Yonan. He got an idea for cost and some other information. CVT is an affordable alternative, but can look very cheap if we are not careful. I have seen it done well before though. LVT can be surprisingly expensive. It is used in many areas that we are all familiar with like hospitals and office spaces. The majority of the floors in the hospital where I work are LVT that looks like hardwood flooring. These flooring types are very resilient when properly installed.
